At Tooth Heaven, we use 3, not just 1 different types of digital cameras
Type 1 - Digital Cameras + Digital Photos
- Tooth Heaven takes this on a very regular basis. Whether you’re a new patient or someone that has been with Tooth Heaven for years, we take GIGABYTES of photos, purely for records.
- This is an added value by Tooth Heaven during your checkups and doesn’t cost you anything to have the photos taken.
- We use the photos to see if there‘s been any changes from your last visit to your current visit to assess for any need for prevention or intervention.
- We also use the photos to assess your teeth a lot better, as this allows us to zoom in and out effortlessly on our screens
Type 2 – Diagnocam
- Last I checked, out of the thousands of dentists in Victoria, there is only a very small handful of Dental Clinics that have them. So, im not surprised if you haven’t even heard of it before!
- Tooth Heaven believes in obtaining the best for our patients, so of course we would have one.
- This again, is as an added value to our patients and doesn’t cost the patient anything to use it.
- What it does, is it uses a class 1 laser system (not the laser kind like superman shoots out of his eye), but a very minimal, non invasive technology called the Fibre Optic Transilllumination technology. The camera then allows us to take photos of it to store on our computer for further assessments after
- These cameras are amazing at picking up even the smallest of cracks and holes that may be causing issues on your teeth!
Type 3- Intraoral Camera
- An intraoral camera is like a DSLR / your typical camera, but better. It allows you to go super close up to the tooth and capture HD photos of it, allowing us to see better, assess better and treat better.
- This again, is as an added value to our patients and doesn’t cost the patient anything to use it. It just helps make us a better Clinician and come out with better ways to solve your teeth issues.
